I bought a domain name: http://merciel.me. It was on impulse, but I’m pleased with it. Merciel.com was taken so I had to settle with Merciel.me. I actually prefer it. It has a more personal feel. It matches my MobileMe email address too! Eventually, I’ll stray from other people’s templates and give my websites a much more personal look, but it’s best I don’t try to swallow too much too quickly lest I choke.
Poetry is fun, what with being “the highest form of the literary arts,” but there are many more branches to this tree, so I also added two new blogs: Flames of Purgatory and A Single Candle. Flames of Purgatory is where I’ll post devotions and prayers I write. A Single Candle is where I’ll post thoughts on issues that matter to me, such as animal rights and veganism. I’ll change the names when I think up something better.
This satisfies me for now, but I have loftier ambitions. As somebody called to write unceasingly, there’s so much more I hope to do. I have a clear mission now, which is best summed up in a quote from Orchards & Vines: “If I can’t inspire, what am I supposed to do?”
